DescriptionDunraven Bay, known as Southerndown beach at most times it's a sand and pebble bay with Rock Pools, depending on the tide times, With some stunning cliffs and geology each side of the beach.
The beach has Lifeguards on duty during the summer season.
The car park on the beach front is small, in the summer they open the field above the beach for extra parking,
Toilets and refreshments are seasonal available and the car park has a charge at various times,
FeaturesThe Gardens of the old Dunnraven House are open and this is a lovely place to come and sit in the sun but sheltered from the wind, Then walk over the headland for views right along the coust. Take care walking over the headland as the cliff edges are dangerous.
Dogs not permitted between 1 May and 30 September.
This is a good place for Surfing and kayaking as there is good access onto the beach.
if you want a bit more of a challenge try the bay round the point go up past the gardens and down the long steep steps, this is a lovely bay but watch the tide
